Lights, camera, ACTION!!!

Its seems 2010 is the year for a resurgence of good old fashioned action movies.

With films like the Losers, The A-Team and The Expendables.

The last film of which is a call for the old guard of action heroes, all put together in one film to see how much damage can be done. Hopefully the damage is done on screen and not to their film careers. The film even sees Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger play bit parts.

Never in screen history will you get to see Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger in a scene together. Who cares if the scene isn't any good, I grew up watching these guys blowing up things and 'one line' their way through a film.

Until the next time.....

Release the Kraken

Over the Easter break I decided to go and see the remake of the classic 1980's epic 'Clash of the Titans'. On picking up my tickets I was concerned I may have booked tickets for the wrong film.

As it happens it was the right film and to sum up, it was a enjoyable retelling of the film I remember as a kid growing up. Although different in places, especially with the introduction of Hades as King of the underworld (which I welcomed) all the elements were there.

Although I was a little disappointed that the guardian to the lair of Medusa wasn't included, maybe its in the deleted scenes.

Worth a viewing if a fan of the original, although I would say its not worth seeing in 3D, I hardly noticed any.

Spend the money on some popcorn instead...

Passport Control

I've recently had to get my passport renewed, which unfortunately wasn't as straight forward as first imagined.

Mainly down to the hassle involved..... firstly the photo I had initially taken to the post office wasn't good enough so went off to snappy snaps I went, I the hope they would provide me with what I needed.

So I paid my money I receipt for four slightly anemic looking photos of me.

The post office accepted the application and off it went, only to then receive a letter 5-6 days later informing me the photos were to light.

Slightly peeved by this I went back to the post office to find out what I should do next and they send to have them taken again and they would pay for postage.

Snappy snaps refused to refund my money so I ended up paying for another set of slightly more life like photos of myself.

As it stands, I'm waiting to hear that my photos are still not good enough....

Good to see they don't just give a passport to any old fiff faff.

I am who I am....

In following designeretcs blog, I was interested in the following blog:

http://www.designeretc.co.uk/page4.htm#56496

After answering a number of simple questions posed by the pyshcologist
he went on to tell what typeface best described my personality.

In being told I was emotional, understated, progressive and relaxed, Dot Matrix best described my character.

With this in mind I considered looking up the font and adding it to my library, this is where I've run into a few issues.  From looking at a variety of font libraries I haven't been able to find the font as seen in the above image.

Any ideas?!?
