Passport Control
I've recently had to get my passport renewed, which unfortunately wasn't as straight forward as first imagined.
Mainly down to the hassle involved..... firstly the photo I had initially taken to the post office wasn't good enough so went off to snappy snaps I went, I the hope they would provide me with what I needed.
So I paid my money I receipt for four slightly anemic looking photos of me.
The post office accepted the application and off it went, only to then receive a letter 5-6 days later informing me the photos were to light.
Slightly peeved by this I went back to the post office to find out what I should do next and they send to have them taken again and they would pay for postage.
Snappy snaps refused to refund my money so I ended up paying for another set of slightly more life like photos of myself.
As it stands, I'm waiting to hear that my photos are still not good enough....
Good to see they don't just give a passport to any old fiff faff.

I am who I am....
In following designeretcs blog, I was interested in the following blog:
http://www.designeretc.co.uk/page4.htm#56496
After answering a number of simple questions posed by the pyshcologist
he went on to tell what typeface best described my personality.
In being told I was emotional, understated, progressive and relaxed, Dot Matrix best described my character.
With this in mind I considered looking up the font and adding it to my library, this is where I've run into a few issues. From looking at a variety of font libraries I haven't been able to find the font as seen in the above image.
Any ideas?!?

Dotting the i's of interaction
When I comes to the games market and the next generation consoles (seventh generation, if you can trust wikipedia) that fill our need for gaming and on-line entertainment.
It came to my attention by fellow blogger:
http://www.designeretc.co.uk/page4.htm
...that bbc iplayer is avalailbe as a downloadable channel for the wii.
On getting home I powered up the wii and checked on-line, and to my surprise there it was.
Additionally it was free, so without hesitation I I downloaded the channel and gave it a test run.
In my opinion the quality was great...I was a bit dubious watching a programme on a and there was no sign of streaming issues.
Obviously BBC iplayer has been around for a while now but in truth I wouldn't use it on say a laptop or computer screen to watch an entire programme, but on my wide screen tv...possibly.

You look in a hurry...but have you got a second
I know its a bit late in the year but Happy New Year all the same.
I've been in slight hibernation from my blog, what with Christmas, New year and all the other things that fill up daily life.
Anyway....back to the world as I see it.
On the topic of consumer surveys and the lengths the industries markets will go to to either annoy the hell out of us as consumers or satisfy those who have nothing better to do than take part in these time consuming events.
I was in my local Co op back in 2009 (so last year) and in a rush to simply but some milk for the my morning breakfast when I had what seemed to be a consumer survey forced upon me when using my chip and pin to pay for my two pints worth of semi skimmed milk.
Asking if my shop was enjoyable, whether successful and was the Co op itself tidy.
A little pived with the idea of taking part I simply answered no to all.
Since then I've got in the habit of carrying small change around when entering my local.
Until the next occasion.....
